Attribute Display

Overview

Objects in the Empower database can have an unlimited number of attributes/parameters. Attributes can represent any type of characteristic required to define an item in the database.

You can define attribute fields for:

• Items/Parts/BOMs
• BOM child items
• Changes/ECOs
• Quality/CAPA Items
• Projects
• Vendors
• Vendor Items
• Service Objects
• Training Items

Attributes appear on the Attributes page of the specific object in Desktop.

Using the Attribute Display options, you can set up specific attributes to be displayed in various areas on the object forms.

Object Types

Each object has an Attributes Display option.

Attribute display and position options can be defined based on the type and category fields.

Assigning Fields

When assigning fields, you must first select the desired type or category field.

Once the type or category field is selected, you can then select the desired location.

To add an attribute field to the selected location, click the attribute name hyperlink.

To remove an assigned an attribute field, click the Remove icon.

You can change the display order by using the Move Up and Move Down icons.

To assign the display/position options, click the Save or Save Settings buttons.
