Upgrading to 8.0

Overview

This section describes how to upgrade existing Empower databases.
Refer to the Empower Upgrade Guide for a detailed overview of the upgrade process and steps.

It is highly recommended that a test instance be created for testing and validation before upgrading your production system.

Your test instance should reside on a separate server than your current production Empower environment.

From 8.0, Database upgrade is showed in Server Home page. If the database is not upgrade with the according system version, system will prevent login.

Note: You must upgrade the all the Metadata, Documents, and Toolkit databases.
